Derila Ergo by Sleep Position: Side, Back and Stomach
Research guide by Rick Gregory · Reviewed 2 August 2026
Derila Ergo is marketed for multiple sleep positions, but a fixed contour cannot suit every body. Side sleepers must consider shoulder clearance, back sleepers should avoid excessive forward head tilt, and stomach sleepers usually need the lowest practical profile.

Side sleeping
The shaped side areas may appeal to side sleepers who prefer a defined contour. Fit depends heavily on shoulder width and mattress sink. If the pillow is too low, the head may drop toward the mattress; if it is too high, the head may be pushed in the opposite direction.
Back sleeping
The central cradle is intended to hold the head while the raised contour supports the neck. The important question is whether the contour preserves a comfortable position without pushing the chin toward the chest.
Stomach sleeping
Stomach sleepers often prefer a low profile because the head is already rotated. A fixed contour may feel too high for some people. The seller's multi-position claim should not be treated as proof of individual suitability.
Combination sleeping
Moving between positions requires a contour that remains comfortable across different parts of the pillow. A fixed shape provides consistency but cannot be tuned. Pay particular attention to transitions between the centre cradle and raised side areas.
